The Himalaya, together with the Karakorum and Hindu Kush are the greatest mountain range on Earth. The Khumbu Valley runs west from Mount Everest to the villages of Pheriche and Dingboche. The stunning trrek through this valley leads all the way to climb to the Everest Base Camp. Khumbu Valley trek is considered as one of the difficult trekking tour, due to the cold snowy climate, crooked roads and days spent at high altitude. Excellent physical fitness and exceptional endurance are required. The trek can last from two weeks to a month depending on the route taken.

After taking rest for a day, trekking to Pokaide begins. Ascending Pokaide is comparatively easy, from there descend to Chukkung. Following is moving along the Imja Valley, next to Imja Glacier, then the trekkers reach Island Peak Base Camp. Next climbing up is very steep, which takes longer hours. There might be a few spare days due to the event of bad weather. However, the trek continues to step down to Imja Valley. The trek follows up the wide bottom of the valley in the direction of Dugla. The route is along rocky slabs that access the glacier. The summit is Lobuje East. Descending from there rest for a day or two. The next trek is tough and long,to reach Ngozumpa glacier, the largest in Nepal. Night stay is at Dragnag.
