Shree Ghah Chaitya

Kathmandu

Where hinduism was an important part of the country's culture, it had a pleasant aspect with hundreds of pigeons fluttering up as you neared the golden stupa. There wasn't much to do but seeing the holy golden monument and Kathmandu's Durban square was the spectacular experience. A few little temples that resembled chapels all looked the same.

Janaki temple

Bhaktapur

Devotees flock to the Janaki temple during important occasions and festivals such as Ram Navami, Deepavali, and Holi. Visitors to Janakpur make a point of stopping by the various holy ponds in addition to visiting the temples. There are about 90 ponds in the area, with Ganga Sagar and Dhanush Sagar being the most popular. Before paying respect in the temples, some worshippers take a holy bath in the ponds. Pilgrims flock from all across Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India to pay their respects to the Goddess, who is revered for her fearlessness, purity, selflessness, dedication, loyalty, and feminine attributes.

Ellora Caves

Ellora, Maharashtra

We witnessed a few incredible inscriptions on the Ellora Caves' walls dating back to the 6th century, one of which being the Rashtrakuta Dantidurga on Cave 15's mandapa, inscribed between 753 and 757 AD. Cave 16 or Kailasha temple, a Shiva-dedicated monument, is the world's largest single monolithic rock excavation. It was constructed between 757 and 783 AD. Although the caverns' deities and idols have been damaged, the paintings and carvings have been preserved.

Qutub Minar

Seth Sarai, Mehrauli, Delhi

The minar reflects the evolution of architectural styles from Aibak to Tughlak. The relief work, as well as the construction materials, varied. The Qutab Minar is 238 feet tall, with a base of 47 feet and a peak of nine feet. Bands of inscriptions adorn the tower, as do four projecting balconies supported by ornately painted brackets. The Quwwat Ui Islam (Light of Islam) Mosque in the Qutab complex is one of the most stunning constructions in the world, even though it is in ruins. In 1193, Qutab-ud-din Aibak began work on the mosque, which was finished in 1197.

Betaab Valley

Hajan, Jammu and Kashmir

This valley is the beginning point for many walkers in the Valley, with beautiful green meadows and snow-capped mountains. The rich greenery of conifers and lush green plants encapsulates Kashmir's real identity. This valley, which is dotted with colorful cottages, shelters, and a variety of bird species, is unique in its own right. You can go horseback riding or have a picnic on the banks of the snow-fed Jade River in the Betab Valley, which flows south from the snowy highlands. The water in Jade is so pure that it is used for drinking by the locals! My advice is to go above and beyond the ordinary and treat yourself to a once-in-a-lifetime horseback riding adventure.

Taj Mahal - monument

Tajganj, Agra, Uttar Pradesh

The Taj Mahal is far larger than I had anticipated. The structure is centered on Mumtaz and Jahan's final resting place. The actual tombs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz, on the other hand, are located in a chamber in a basement room that is not open to the public. The Taj Mahal is surrounded by a multitude of structures, including a mosque. The magnificent gardens are well-kept and bustling with guests, mostly from India, at the time of my visit. There are three gates that lead to the Taj Mahal. It was built with white marble from the Rajasthani town of Makrana. It may be seen at any time of day, including early morning at sunrise, afternoon, and sunset, and it appears stunning in the full moonlight.

Bindyabasini temple

Tripur

The landmark architecture of this temple is in Shikhara style. It's a white pagoda temple situated in the middle of a park-like setting. The temple has a golden carved metal gate that allows you a glimpse inside and breaks up the whiteness. At first view, the Bindhyabasini temple appears to be a basic but stunning structure. The temple is governed by the local "Dharmik Chhetra Bikas Samiti."
