We, a tourist group, went to Bagerhat by bus via Meghna Paribahan. We stayed at the Hotel Jalico in the Lower Jessore Road in order to go through all the prominent tourist places of Bagerhat. The Ghora Dighi in Bagerhat really wandered us by its immense beauty. We gained some historical knowledge too. There were loads of tourists here who came to visit it with gifts to get their wishes fulfilled or to show thankfulness after getting their wishes fulfilled. We ate our lunch at a nearby restaurant named "Dhanshiri".

Ghora Dighi is a really beautiful and calm lake. It has a religious significance towards the local people. People often come here to make their wishes fulfilled. They throw coins here in this purpose. They also feed the crocodiles residing in the lake. The crocodiles don't harm people even if they get touched. It's a place of natural beauty.

I visited the Sixty Dome Mosque as well as the Ghora Dighi four years back. The lake is full of baby pink colored water lilies. They have made the lake more charming. The water is fresh and clean. Pure breeze was giving me peace. I really enjoyed that evening at Ghora Dighi. The sunset view was awesome.

Ghora Dighi is the only reserved water tank in Bangladesh. We visited it when we went to Bagerhat to visit the mighty Sundarbans. People say Khan Jahan Ali has dug many tanks here in Bagerhat. Ghora Dighi is one of them. It's a part of an enormous complex. It is situated on the western border of the complex. It offers a really beautiful scenario.
